A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam...and for a brief moment its beauty and glory belong to our world. But then...it flies on again and though we wish it could have stayed...we feel so lucky to have seen it!

This memorial website was created to remember my Dad, Timothy Randolph Rogers who was born in North Carolina Charlotte, NC on September 24, 1958 and passed away on August 4, 2006.

I've created this website on the week of the anniversary of his death, but I want it to commemorate his life.

I chose the song "When I get where I'm going"  because I know Dad wouldn't want us to cry for him.  He told me a month or so before he left us that he wanted his ashes spread upon the mountain.  He said he wanted that because he didn't want to be in a graveyard, with people crying.  He said that if you looked upon the mountain to remember him, that you couldn't be sad, because you would see the beauty that he saw and you would have to smile.

So even though I miss him very much, I feel very lucky to have had a father like him, and I want this website to be a place not to remember his death, but to remember the life that he lived to the fullest.

Randy had a way with all the horses. I remember all the days he would come home from work, put on his boots and go feed. He could whisel and they would run to him. Randy loved all the horses

This was a fond memory, Randy, Dixie and Mary riding up and down the road in a buggy.

I'd like to think they are all together now

Delancy and I met Randy just once when we stopped for a visit.  We enjoyed our lunch together and then Randy followed us around with his camera taking those pictures of precious memories on the farm.  I will always treasure that day.
The Everlasting Light
Those we love
must someday pass
beyond our present sight...
must leave us
and the world we know
without their radiant light.
But we know that like a candle,
their lovely light will shine
to brighten up another place
more perfect...more divine.
And in the realm of Heaven,
where they shine
so warm and bright,
our loved ones live forevermore
in God`s eternal light.

Hello.  Even though I never met Randy, I feel as if I know him through Mitsi at RUTH.  Praying for you all.  This is a very beautiful tribute to a husband, dad, and grandpa.  May you all feel God wrap His loving, caring arms around you.

Wow; what a wonderful memorial.. I never did know Randy, but thru the memorial pics i see he was a truly remarkable man, who loved his family & animals very much.. looking thru the photos i can see the connection he had with the animals. I really did see his heart. For all those that were touched by this man you were truly blessed to have known him. I thank you for sharing this with us who did not, as it gives us a chance to feel the blessings. May the comfort of knowing you will see him again one day make your days a little easier with time. God Bless

I feel very honored to be able to be a part of our precious Mitsi's life; to come here and spend a few quiet minutes. What a beautiful way to remember a remarkable man.

Mitsi my precious sister, thankyou so much for allowing us to come here and share with you, Crystal, Timothy, Megan and the extended family.

My love and prayers are with you all, as you remember Randy; your husband, father, and grandfather.

Love always,

Maggie Munce. xx
